About this test

Your blood sugar exactly two hours after a meal, which shows how well the body handles food. Usually done together with the fasting sugar.

Before your test

• •Eat a normal meal, note the time, and give the sample two hours later.
• •Carry on taking your regular medicines unless your doctor has said otherwise.
• •Bring the doctor's prescription if you have one — it helps the lab file the report to them.
