Before your test

• •Twelve hours without food gives the truest triglyceride reading. Water is fine.
• •Do not eat for 12 hours before the sample. Water is fine.
• •Carry on taking your regular medicines unless your doctor has said otherwise.
• •Bring the doctor's prescription if you have one — it helps the lab file the report to them.
